This plot, situated 270 meters on Corton's hill, faces the rising sun. The 70-year-old vines take root in lean limestone soil, with light and very draining soil. This climate and its demanding terroir encourage the vines to give their best: a wine that offers a real presence, a beautiful intensity, while maintaining its finesse and elegance. When young, Rognet-et-Corton exudes notes of spicy fruit, blackcurrants and kirsch. As it ages, it develops aromas of undergrowth, truffles and leather. This is what is expected of the excellence of a red Burgundy Grand Cru: the embodiment of the seductive Pinot Noir.
