"Les Clos" is an impressive and exciting complex wine.
Due to the southern exposure of the field and the clay content of the soil most often give the wine a markedly full flavor and a sea of sweet and slightly spicy aromas (honey, orange, cinnamon, etc.). This explains why "Les Clos" is compared by many to "Le Montrachet" and ranked as Chablis' vineyard no. 1.
This full-bodied character and the mature tones are complemented by the imprint of lime, which can be experienced in the form of firmness, depth and a delicate salty aftertaste. Added to this is the freshness of the Burgundian chardonnay and some discreet notes from the aging in oak barrels.
