Buisson - St Romain Sous La Velle 2020

This vineyard, called "Sous La Velle", which means "under the village", is located exactly below Saint-Romain le Haut, at an altitude of 370 meters in the middle of the hillside. It stretches over 2.5 hectares in the heart of the valley. With its 60 years, this symbolic vineyard, which has greatly contributed to the reputation of the appellation, is one of the two founders of the estate. The vines, planted on the marl soil of Saint-Romain, take root in the limestone and add a beautiful minerality to the wine. The taste is straightforward with notes of candied lemon and this dense wine, which is fuller than the others, offers complex multi-layered aromas. The wine opens with a nice salted and iodized character, creating a divine harmony between minerality and explosive fruitiness.
